Transparency data: HMRC spending over £25,000, April 2018

HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) publishes details of all departmental spending over £25,000 on a monthly basis.

HMRC also publishes details of spending over £25,000 by Revenue and Customs Digital Technology Services Limited (RCDTS), an arm’s length body of HMRC.

The publication includes a number of documents:

1. EIS, SEIS and SITR statistics: commentary note.

The commentary note provides statistical commentary to EIS National Statistics Tables 8.1 to 8.5, SEIS National Statistics Tables 8.11 to 8.15, SITR Official Statistics Table 8.21, and Advance Assurance Request Statistics Tables 8.1a, 8.11a, and 8.21a. It also sets out the data and methodology involved in the production of these statistics.

2. EIS Tables 8.1 – 8.5

The EIS Tables are in Excel format and provide the following information:

  • Table 8.1: General yearly statistics (tax year ending 1994 to 2017)
  • Table 8.2: Industry breakdown (by SIC) (tax year ending 2015 to 2017)
  • Table 8.2a: Industry breakdown (TCN) (tax year ending 2015 to 2017)
  • Table 8.3: Distribution of companies by size of their funds (tax year ending 2015 to 2017)
  • Table 8.4: Regional breakdown (tax year ending 2015 to 2017)

3. SEIS Tables 8.11 – 8.15

The SEIS Tables are in Excel format and provide the following information:

  • Table 8.12: Industry breakdown (SIC) (tax year ending 2015 to 2017)
  • Table 8.12a: Industry breakdown (TCN) (tax year ending 2015 to 2017)

The AAR Tables are in Excel format and provide the following information:

  • Table 8.1a: Number of enterprises seeking advance assurance for EIS, number of applications received, approved and rejected (tax year ending 2007 to 2018)
  • Table 8.11a: Number of enterprises seeking advance assurance for SEIS, number of applications received, approved and rejected (tax year ending 2013 to 2018)
